NCEES Structural Engineering Practice Exam – This is a great practice exam to help you understand the layout, problem types, etc. that you might experience on both the AM and PM portions of the VERTICAL and LATERAL exams.

It is helpful compilation of analytical and design structural aspects! It can be used heavily during the exam, or just as a safety net reference beyond the other codes/standards that you have. Regardless of how you plan to use it. It is a MUST HAVE. **This is also known as the SERM (Structural Engineering Reference Manual)**

Bridge Problems for the Structural Engineering (SE) Exam, 3rd Edition – This is the best resource that I have seen for BRIDGE practice problems to run through during your study sessions to help you do well on the AM session for the VERTICAL and LATERAL portion of the SE Exam.

SE Structural Engineering Buildings Practice Exam, 5th Edition – These are great practice exams in addition to the NCEES practice exam to run through during your study sessions to help you do well on the both the AM and PM portions of the VERTICAL and LATERAL exams.

Structural Engineering Solved Problems for the SE Exam, 7th Edition – These are great problems to fine-tune your understanding of the various materials and structural engineering concepts. These are more open ended, and would be helpful for the PM portion of the SE Exam. Note that these problems are a lot more difficult (in my opinion) than those that you will find on the exam, so they are only helpful if you have time to go through them. If you are limited on time, I would recommend going through the 6-minute Problems and Practice Exams first.

Seismic Principles – This is a great reference that provides great practical insight and pictures to understand the basics to seismic design. This is a great resource for the LATERAL exam, as well as your career!

SEAOC Seismic Design Manuals – These are great resources from the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC) for SEISMIC LATERAL DESIGN. These are a very helpful, especially if seismic design is new to you. If you can only get some of the volumes and not all of them, then Volumes 1-4 are the most relevant for the SE Exam, with Volume 1 being the most important to have (in my opinion).
